So many in our community are suffering and discouraged because of the war. We have youth, husbands of Stop the Cycle moms, and other loved ones on the front lines. Air raid sirens have sounded more frequently these last few months.
Recently, Zhenya (with Andrey, below) returned to Zhytomyr from the front lines. We met Zhenya in Last Bell’s early years, and he came to gatherings in 2007-2008. Then he lost touch. But when he was mobilized, he remembered the words of our staff. They had truly committed to support him. So he reached out.
Then he was wounded. Director Andrey was able to visit him in the Zhytomyr hospital. Zhenya is struggling physically and emotionally, and began coming to church in search of community and spiritual healing.
Please pray for all our guys like Zhenya. So many return from war with deep hurts. Pray for the ones still on the front lines, and the families worried and waiting for them. Pray for an end to the war and a free Ukraine. And pray for our staff as they minister during these challenging years.
