We had a whirlwind week with the Pankyeyevs! We were concerned that changes to Ukraine’s laws might prevent their visit. But praise God, the whole family arrived safely in Indiana. Andrey Pankyeyev is our Ministry Director in Ukraine, and his wife Oksana is the director of our Stop the Cycle program. Their two adult children, Maggie and Daniel, were with them.
On Sunday, Maggie and Daniel sang the Day Center’s theme song called “You Have a Future.” Then Andrey took the pulpit. He shared about God’s faithfulness and the faithful response of His people: our staff, and YOU, our supporters. That constancy tells our youth again and again that they do have a future.
On Tuesday, everyone gathered around a gorgeous spread of Ukrainian treats. Many vibrant conversations led into a prayer time for Last Bell’s staff, youth, and churches in Zhytomyr.
