What if every orphaned young person in Zhytomyr had hope for the future?
How would that change their marriages, their parenting, their community?
We’re now one step closer to that reality.
Last Bell’s vision is to see the end of the orphan cycle in Zhytomyr. In order to do that, we need to reach every orphaned young person in the city.
But until now, many didn’t know about Last Bell. We’ve only been allowed to teach life skills in Zhytomyr’s technical schools and colleges. The three universities kept turning us away.
But God was at work. In December, Andriy and others met with administrators from two of the universities, and shared all about the team’s ministry to orphaned students.
Last Thursday, February 5th, our team held its first gathering for orphaned youth on university grounds!
This meeting was for first-year students. Afterward, three youth expressed interest in coming to the Day Center, which they’ll do this week. One of their social workers will join them and learn all about Last Bell’s services.
Praise God for this new open door! Please pray for these young people who are just now discovering hope in Jesus and help from His people.
