It’s almost time for family camp. That’s exciting for us! But some of our orphaned parents might arrive feeling overwhelmed, alone, or even unsure if they can really care for their kids.
Many of these young parents were abused and neglected growing up. They lived without love or stability.
Now they have kids of their own. But they have no family support, no role models. Without intervention, orphans’ children often become orphans themselves.
These families are coming from such hard places. How can they break the cycle?
By God’s grace, and with your support. At Last Bell, orphaned parents take home groceries, diapers, and clothes. They come for counseling and learn how to discipline with love. They receive intensive help in crises.
Family camp is our most powerful tool for welcoming families. This year, it starts on June 3rd!
Family Camp (30 parents and kids): June 3-8
Youth Camp (40 orphaned students): August 19-24
This year, one day of camp for a parent or kid costs just $47. That covers everything: transportation, housing, food, childcare, group discussions, and family activities.
Year after year, we’ve seen families transformed after camp. One dad became more involved with his kids. A mom began telling her little girl “I love you.” Because of camp, parents come to parenting classes, ask for help in crises, start attending church, and keep their families together.
