In our city of Zhytomyr, many of the children we know are at risk of becoming orphans.
Their parents are orphans themselves, and have never seen good role models. To make the situation even harder, some of the orphaned dads are in the military, and return from active duty wounded and disconnected from their spouses and kids.
In these families, relationships are at risk. We’ve already seen several divorces in military families.
Dads need help loving their kids and learning what good parenting looks like – not just academically, but modeled for them by men they respect.
Enter: Dad Camps!
Dad Camps* are a place where dads can grow deeper and healthier family relationships. Orphaned dads and their kids will attend camp alongside local church families, the role models dads desperately need.
You can intervene for at-risk children, helping their dads heal, grow, and become spiritual leaders. You can help dads see how much their kids love them and need that love returned.
